Virtual chapter meeting: Building stronger client relationships
Tuesday, September 15, from 7:45-10 a.m.
|
|
When it comes to the relationship between a financial planner and their client, it is essential for each party to have a base level of trust and respect for one another in order to ensure a successful and lasting partnership. Our September virtual chapter meeting will explore this concept through a conversation with Creighton University’s associate professor of Financial Psychology and Behavioral Finance, Dr. Ted Klontz.
Drawing from more than 40 years of experience in financial counseling, consulting and advising, Dr. Klontz will share his suggestions for facilitating effective relationships between professionals and clients. He will also lead an interactive Exquisite Listening® workshop to help participants hone their listening skills in order to better support and serve their clients.

Help the Twin Cities community by volunteering during virtual Financial Planning Days
October 5-10
|
Our annual Twin Cities Financial Planning Day is an important event for both our chapter and the broader community. Each year, FPA MN members volunteer and provide attendees with free, one-on-one financial consultations and workshops.
The need for expert advice from local financial planners is great – especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. That's why our chapter is proud to offer this year's event as week-long, virtual sessions beginning Monday, October 5, and lasting through Saturday, October 10.

Local advisors donate $25,000 to the Center for Financial Planning
|
Twenty-five years ago, a group of female financial planners who are each FPA MN members created a group called Goddesses of Financial Planning. To commemorate their 25th anniversary, earlier this year the group donated $25,000 to the Center for Financial Planning. The generous donation will support the Center in its work of promoting women and diversity in the financial planning industry.
Founded in 1995, the group meets regularly to share strategic advice and best practices to support each other in the financial planning industry. Congratulations to the Goddesses of Financial Planning for achieving an incredible 25 years of advocacy and support!
