Message from our 2020 Board President, Ingrid Strauss
|
Greetings!
As we step into the new year and my new term as Board President, I feel incredibly honored to lead this chapter. The FPA of MN has an engaged and supportive membership that plans excellent programming and volunteer opportunities. Most excitingly, this year we are now more than 900 members strong!
Many 2020 Board members and I attended the FPA Chapter Leader’s Conference in Colorado this fall, where we exchanged insights and experiences with more than 300 other FPA leaders from across the country. Our Board came back from that event with even more pride for the strength of our Minnesota chapter. We have lots of ideas and excitement going into 2020.
As Board President, I plan to focus on the following priorities:
- Continuing to support our chapter’s mission of providing exceptional educational opportunities for our members.
- Collaborating with our Board and various committees to find new ways for our members to make connections with one another.
- Strengthening our connection with the broader Minnesota population and increasing awareness for our profession and the role we serve in each community.
From attending chapter meetings to volunteering on committees, thank you for your involvement in this chapter. Here’s to another fantastic year ahead!

Tuesday, January 21, from 7:30-10 a.m.
|
For students and parents alike, the college search process is an exciting and celebratory milestone. But between academic programs, residential life and financial aid, it can also easily feel overwhelming. Add on the often high tuition prices and stress increases even more.
Presented by
College Inside Track’s Education and Partnerships Manager
Cozy Wittman, our January chapter meeting will explore the complexities of the college search and provide advice on how to best approach the financial aid and awards process. By better understanding the higher education world and its intricacies, you can help families feel better prepared when making important education decisions.
