New Lunch n' Learn: Guide to reverse mortgages

Wednesday, June 2, from 12-1:15 p.m.

Learn something new over the lunch hour and make the most of your midday break! Our new reoccurring Lunch n’ Learn workshops are casual and valuable early-afternoon programs that offer professional training to attendees.

This month’s presentation untangles why reverse mortgages are commonly known as “Loans of Last Resort” and how this perception is changing in the professional community, due to recent program updates and groundbreaking research. Featured presenter Dominic DesMarais with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation will share his view on how reverse mortgages can help solve the current retirement crisis.

Membership shoutout: Rebecca Bell

This month we'd like to recognize a volunteer whose expertise and leadership has helped our chapter successfully navigate the pandemic: Rebecca Bell.

Rebecca is an estate planning, probate and small business attorney with rb LEGAL, LLC. She joined our chapter in 2019. Rebecca began serving on our Programs Committee that same year, and recently became the Committee Chair. Going from in-person events to virtual gatherings last year was a big change for our chapter. Thank you to Rebecca and the entire Programs Committee for making it such a smooth transition!

Monday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m.-6:15 p.m.

Our 22nd Annual Golf & Bocce Ball Tournament is around the bend. Plan a day of recreation with industry peers that supports a great cause. Proceeds will be distributed to the charity pick of the year: The Friends of the Saint Paul College Foundation.

Get out on the greens, network and enjoy delicious food at this year’s event, which will be held at the Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids.
