A special announcement: Unveiling the ASCEND Conference
(Formerly known as FPA of Minnesota Symposium)
Drumroll please! Our chapter is proud to announce that Symposium has a new-and-improved name: the
ASCEND Conference.
For decades, our Symposium has helped financial planning professionals elevate their knowledge and rise in their careers. This new name better articulates the conference’s value and why so many have made it an annual tradition.
Named as a
Top 20 Conference by Michael Kitces, the ASCEND Conference will be held November 2-3 at the Convention Center in Minneapolis. In addition to the excellent educational and networking opportunities it’s known for, this year’s conference will feature an improved experience with even more nationally recognized speakers.
We invite you to attend a special pro bono workshop following the chapter meeting. During this training, you’ll learn about the challenges cancer patients and their families face and how you can help. You will also learn about FPA MN’s new Financial Cancer Care initiative with the Angel Foundation.
The Angel Foundation is a local nonprofit that provides financial and emotional support to adults with cancer and their families. This organization’s work is very important – that’s why our chapter is proud to partner with them on their new Financial Cancer Care program!
This innovative pilot program will provide cancer patients and their caregivers with financial planning and education to help mitigate the financial risks associated with treatment. We want to help patients and families be able to focus on getting well, not financial stress. If you are interested in getting involved, we encourage you to attend our special pro bono workshop on February 18.
Advocacy Day
Wednesday, February 19, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Mark your calendars! This year’s FPA MN Advocacy Day at the Minnesota State Capitol is February 19. We need each member’s unique voice and perspective to raise awareness for all the great work financial planning professionals accomplish.
Join us to help educate policymakers and legislators on our industry and our chapter. Our Professional Issues Committee members will be on-site to help you meet with your legislators, so you can drop by whenever is most convenient for your schedule.
Feeling a bit cabin fever-y and longing for the blue skies and green grass of summer? Us, too. Fortunately, there’s a remedy.
All are invited to a brand-new association event: Snow Days Golf Par-Tee! Join us for an evening at
Topgolf in Brooklyn Center on February 27 to hit a few rounds of golf balls with your fellow association members. In addition to “golfing” and networking, a fajita fiesta dinner and complimentary drinks are also included. By the end of the night, the warm summer months will suddenly seem not so far away.
Looking for a helpful career networking or interview experience with quality financial planning firms? What about a hassle-free hiring process with the guarantee of qualified candidates?
Look no further! For 14 years, FPA MN has brought together established financial planning professionals and those newer to the profession. Join us for a day of speakers, workshops, discussion and interviews!
