Virtual chapter meeting: Life planning, mindfulness and a golden civilization
Tuesday, March 16, from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
The most successful advisor interactions happen when financial planners take the time to actively listen to and understand their clients’ needs. The topic of our virtual chapter meeting in March stems from this concept, with our special guest speaker focusing on the importance of life planning and true mindfulness.
On March 16, George Kinder, an author, speaker, meditation teacher and father of the life planning movement in financial advice, will share his original expertise on life planning work and its critical basis in mindfulness. Kinder will also detail the effectiveness of deep listening and strong communications skills and explore the power that interactive visioning can hold for anyone.

Share your expertise to help people diagnosed with cancer
The Angel Foundation is a local nonprofit that provides financial and emotional support to adults with cancer and their families. This organization’s work is very important – that’s why our chapter is a proud partner of their Financial Cancer Care program!
Under this pilot program, financial advisors volunteer their time to help cancer patients and their caregivers create a plan to manage the long-term financial burdens of a cancer diagnosis.
Here's what some volunteer advisors have said about the experience:
- “Overall knowing that I am able provide guidance, a plan and help someone who has gone through the unimaginable is why I became a financial advisor”
- “Angel Foundation has recognized the strain of financial stress and the impact it can have on healing.”
