From recent legislative changes in the financial and tax landscapes to more and more clients reconsidering how they plan for retirement, there are many different factors and strategies we must consider when guiding our clients through estate planning in 2020.
At this month’s chapter meeting on March 17, financial pros
Sheryl Morrison of
Lathrop GPM and
Michael Sampson of
Maslon LLP will share their insight on how the 2020 estate planning process will shake out this year. The panel will be moderated by
Rachel Dahl of Dahl Law Office PLLC.
More information can be found here. To avoid a $15 last-minute registration fee, make sure to RSVP to this event by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13.

FPA MN in the news
Our chapter is 900+ members strong and our new 2020 Board President Ingrid Strauss is working to keep that momentum going. That includes encouraging more women to enter the industry.
Our chapter had a busy February line-up last month with five different events!
It started off with our
7th annual Advocacy Day at the state Capitol.
FPA MN members met with legislators, commissioners and Department of Commerce Securities staff to raise awareness for our chapter and learn about their regulatory priorities. View photos here.
We also hosted a fun new Snow Days Golf Par-Tee association event! FPA MN members gathered at TopGolf in Brooklyn Center to hit a few rounds, network and enjoy dinner together.

We then closed out the month with our annual Career Day event, where current and aspiring financial planning professionals gathered for presentations, interviews and networking.

Thank you to everyone who attended FPA MN events in February! We had a blast seeing both new and familiar faces. Summer suddenly doesn’t seem so far away.
