Member Shoutout: Nick Gearhart
|
|
While in college, Nick experienced the institutional side of finance. Not convinced that it was the right fit, in 2016, Nick attended FPA MN's financial planning days, shadowed certified financial planner practitioners and then chose financial planning as his career.
"Financial planning allows me to apply my interest and knowledge in personal finance to help others align their wealth, passions and purpose to pursue a richer life."
Nick's chapter involvement includes:
- Career Development Committee since 2018, chair/director 2020 to present
- DEI Committee and Task Force
- Pro bono financial planning
- Angel Foundation's financial cancer care program involvement since 2020
Frigid winters have been exchanged for blazing summers as Nick has recently relocated to Arizona to join his girlfriend in The Valley.
"I'll miss the FPA community here. I'm fortunate that my career started in Minnesota, where there's a strong financial planning presence and support from allied professionals. I look forward to bringing my experiences to the FPA of Greater Phoenix. Let's stay in touch and meet up at future FPA national events."
