Resource Center highlight:
Foothills Presbytery Resource Center's OPALS online catalog is currently featuring materials related to stewardship. From the Home Page click on any cover image on the bookshelf for a full description of that title
Unlike traditional library catalogs OPALS also allows us to create bibliographies which include descriptions of relevant materials the Resource Center does not own, such as books owned by congregational libraries within the Presbytery.
The Stewardship bibliography (called a "Pathfinder" by OPALS) currently appears on the Home Page immediately beneath the Stewardship bookshelf. In addition to books and videos, it includes links to relevant Internet sites. It also includes a downloadable PDF version of the Pathfinder which includes summary descriptions of the titles in the Resource Center-helpful when you're looking at the printed copy instead of the online version.
What is OPALS? That's the name of the OPen-source Automated Library Software used not only by Foothills Presbytery Resource Center but also by libraries at Westminster Greenville, First Spartanburg, and First Anderson. You'll hear us ask, "have you checked OPALS?" when referring to the Resource Center's catalog.
