This fall, we also added Virtual Reality (VR) in our classrooms. VR engages students in environments they would otherwise never encounter by providing them with a first person, 360 degree view into a world of opportunities, such as, animal habitats, space, the human body, 3
rd
world refugee camps, and engineering applications.
Schools have incorporated a variety of VR applications ranging from a basic setup where students place a phone inside a cardboard VR viewer to more complex systems involving VR gear which allows students to walk around and interact in the virtual environments.
