Prisma Frames?! What are Prisma Frames?

These unique, fully customizable acrylic frames are the final grand touch to your amazing artwork.

Tilling the Big Sky, is one of the more graphic pieces from artist Monte Dolack.   Created in 1987, this piece, originally titled "Cultivate Art" was commissioned by the Lewistown Art Center in  Lewistown ,  Montana , to celebrate the Center's 15th anniversary. ⠀

To match the  perspicuous  elements of this piece, we chose to use a Prisma frame  in order to convey the strong bold colors in the piece. We chose the  rays  pattern from the Prisma line to mimic the alternating rays from night to day in the piece. The rays of the frame extend out from the piece, making the frame a continuation of the piece, which helps to not distract, but to enhance the artwork.⠀

This is one of our  favorite  Monte Dolack  pieces that we carry in our Frame of Mind Art  Gallery! Monte never ceases to blow us away with his  diverse  art styles over the years, and his strong attention to detail. Thank you Monte for making art that continuously  inspires  us!

Frame of Mind - GALLERY NEWS

We were honored to partner with ARC of Western Montana and Frame of Mind in recognition of Developmental Disability Awareness Month to celebrate these artists and the creativity they bring into the world. Seeing the artists with their work on display made for a truly special evening — one centered on expression, inclusion, and community.
