Congratulations to Randall Future Problem Solvers Club!
The Randall Future Problem Solvers club recently participated in the Junior Division Global Issues Problem Solving competition in Green Lake, WI and the results are as follows:

First place: Natalie Clarke, Madeleine Bohn, Noah Kinsley and Jonah Wallace
Third place: Beckett Stouffer, Ellie Collins, Zach Dufresne, Silvia Kammerzelt

Corporate Sponsorship
We are asking for your help! Do you, a family member or a close friend own a business that would be interested in providing a sponsorship? Do you work for a company that has been known to provide sponsorship?

We will be holding our Franklin Flash Dash on the morning of  May 17th . The purpose of this fundraiser is to establish a sense of school community, promote healthy and active lifestyle choices, and raise funds to support Franklin’s Playground renovation.

What about sponsorships?
  • Franklin is a 501(3)c organization and donations are tax-deductible
  • Sponsorships benefit the event as a whole and are not credited to a specific student.
  • We will work with you and your company to provide proper recognition for donations.

There are four levels of sponsorship:

GOLD $250
BRONZE <$100

Spring Regent Resale

West High School Cafeteria

West High School and Franklin/Randall Elementary Schools will host the Spring Regent Resale on Saturday, May 18th in support of our school community. All proceeds benefit West High and Franklin/Randall students, teachers, and classrooms.

The Franklin Health Office could use elastic waistband pants in sizes 6-10! 
Each student in First through Fifth grade will have a piece of artwork in this art show. Kindergartners have been working to create a community project that is sure to be fun for everyone. Art work from Randall students will be available for purchase outside of the Randall School Library. Students can choose to donate proceeds to GSAFE or the Dane County Humane Society.

Help Wanted for Gallery Night

Mx. Hemmerich (Randall Art) and Ms. Marissa (Franklin Art) need volunteers to help set up, tear down, and collect cash donations from students selling art at the Gallery Night. Sign up here:

Interested In Serving On The Velma Hamilton Middle School PTO's Executive Board?
The VHMS PTO is looking for folks who want to serve on the PTO’s Executive Board for 2019-20.

All of the positions are open to an election, but they will definitely need a new Treasurer and Volunteer Coordinator(s). Training is available from the amazing folks currently holding these positions. Here is a link to the full information  sheet

Brenda Hamel’s upcoming retirement honored with family photo session, cake, and cards.

Brenda thanked families for their amazing commitment to participating in their child’s education by attending these meetings year after year . Ms. Hamel has taught up to six siblings in some families and wants them all to know that it has been an honor to teach their children and each one of them will always carry a piece of her heart.

Bayview Summer School
Bekkah discussed parameters of summer school options both through MMSD and Bayview. Franklin/Randall teachers will be the teachers for summer school at Bayview so in many ways it is the best choice for students. Instruction will be tailored to meet the needs of the learners by staff who already know them and the expectations of their classrooms. Bayview programming will offer afternoon excursions, boating experiences, and swim lessons. Sign up is encouraged as soon as possible if families want their child to attend Bayview

Math Facts Presentation

Parents reminded that time for fact practice in school is limited and that all students need to know their facts to be successful in Math.
Daily practice of 20 minutes is recommended
Each family received a folder which contained:
Math fact flash cards geared towards their child’s level.
Additional practice sheets
Progress tracking sheets
Families encouraged to check in regularly to quiz students and to choose ways for their family to celebrate success as they learn more facts.
