Thank you all so much for coming to this year’s first PTO Community Meeting last month. It was so nice to be together and see how much commonality there is between our daily parenting struggles. If you missed it, we had a lovely discussion facilitated by Franklin parent Brendon Panke about the challenges we have meeting our kids' needs during the school day. Some of the tips I tucked away were getting up earlier than our kids to combat not being a morning person, letting the kids eat breakfast at school when they need to sleep in, finding alternatives to hard-to-open yogurt tubes, and building movement into the routine of getting home or arriving home. Here’s to well-rested, well-fed kids and finding ways to get out all that energy!
Please join us in November for a meeting on school safety information. You may have noticed that the new Standard Response Protocols are being taught in classrooms. Do you have questions? Come get more information and ask your questions.
