It's hat season! Please remind your children not to share hats, combs, or hair accessories. This is how lice is spread and is not something that we want to share with our friends!
Please check your child's head frequently at home.
Please don't forget to send your child with snowpants, boots, warm gloves, and hats in this wintry weather and to LABEL THEM! If you need any help securing these items let your teacher know.

Franklin is, again, teaming up with the Second Harvest Foodbank. It is the time of year when Second Harvest, NBC, and Madison Schools team up to fill the Foodbank.
The food drive will start Monday, November 4th and run until Tuesday, December 3rd. In addition to food items, non-food items like bar soap, laundry detergent, liquid dish soap, shampoo, and toothpaste can also be donated. More information can be found at second harvest madison.org. We have an amazing and giving community; we cannot wait to see it in action. If you want to donate to the virtual food drive, our team name is Franklin Elementary School (in MMSD). Every $1= 3 meals and 1.2 pounds of food = 1 meal.
