Super Science Saturday
Come enjoy interactive, fun, and educational activities that highlight all fields of Science at SUPER SCIENCE SUNDAY 3/22 from 9:00 am- Noon at Randall Elementary. There will be a live Physics demonstration at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 in the cafeteria. While you wait for the show there will be multiple groups presenting on topics such as the human brain, human organs, insects, rockets, energy, rocks, and much more. The program is designed for our K-5 community but all are welcome. Hope to see you there!!!!

The March 7th Franklin-Randall Carnival could use your talents! Donations of baked goods will be used as prizes for the event's Cake Walk. And the event's Hat Sewing station could really use some helpers. Action for Healthy Kids School Grants Program
Action for Healthy Kids is now accepting applications for school grants for the 2020-2021 school year to help students thrive. Schools may apply for Game On grants to fund physical activity, nutrition, or social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives. Parents and parent groups can apply for parents for Healthy Kids grants to bring health and wellness programs to their children’s schools while also promoting parent engagement. The application deadline is April 3, so don’t miss out. Visit ActionforHealthyKids.org/Grants   for more information. 
Thank You, Good Math-ternoon Volunteers!
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make Good Math-ternoon a success this year. Families enjoyed games, puzzles, cup-tower building and more at our annual event. 

  • Thank you to Katherine Durlacher, Paul VanDuyne, and Saverio Spagnolie for helping set up the event.
  • A big thanks to Saverio Spagnolie and Xiao Shen for leading math activities for the kids during Good Math-ternoon. 
  • Thanks to Amy Goodnature, Ann and Jack Sydnor, Sean and Kieran Duffy, Chris Benish, Saverio Spagnolie, Judy Greenberg, Margo Plant, Jim Luedtke and all the other families who helped with clean up. 
  • A big thank you to Franklin custodian Jason Handel for helping with set up and clean up of the gym and for moving the totes of games to and from storage for us. 
  • Good Math-ternoon was made possible thanks to the generous donation of games by former Franklin-Randall parent Mary Saecker. 
  • Lastly, congratulations to Franklin 2nd-grader Henry Starr and Randall 4th grader Jack Sydnor for having the closest estimates for the number of Legos in the Estimation Jar. There were 112 Legos in the jar! 
Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is an after-school program like no other! Twice per week for 10 weeks, girls and children who identify as non-binary, gender fluid or transgender, will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels and learn important life skills. Trained and caring volunteer coaches lead 3rd - 5th graders through interactive lessons and running activities.

Practices will be held Tu/Th from 3–4:30 p.m.
Spring program begins Tuesday, March 24
The 5K event will take place on Saturday, June 6
