COVID-19 Updates
The latest updates and information can be found on the MMSD website .

Franklin and Randall Staff are all reviewing/teaching proper hand washing in every classroom. The teaching follows the CDC guidelines . Please re-inforce the importance of hand washing with your children.

Also be sure to keep your children home when they are sick, following  MMSD’s recommendations.

Please note:

  • Franklin music concerts are cancelled. There will NOT be concerts held on Friday, April 24th. Ms. Moran is hopeful that there will be another opportunity for you to see your child perform this year. Please stay tuned!

  • Super Science Sunday will not be held on March 22nd as originally scheduled.
PTO Board is Seeking Candidates!
Are you looking to make a bigger impact in our school community?
Consider joining the PTO Board for the 2020/2021 school year. The Board helps to:

  • Generate extra financial support for our Franklin-Randall teachers and students
  • Coordinate volunteers for critical activities and events that help keep teachers, parents, and kiddos connected
  • Support building a strong school community through Parent Empowerment Groups and other connection points
  • And, much more!

Randall Bookshare Update
Books are still needed!!
The Randall Bookshare has moved to April 20-25, and we need an additional 200-300 books! Please drop off your gently used books (for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders) in the Randall LMC by Friday, April 17. During the Bookshare, all Randall students will be invited to choose a few free books.

SAVE THE DATE - 3rd Annual Franklin Flash Dash
On Friday, May 22nd - 8:00 - 11:00 AM (rain date: Friday, May 29th) Franklin students will participate in the 3rd Annual Franklin Flash Dash! This fun community activity will again help to support our Franklin playground renovation project. Mark this date on your calendar! Look for more information in next week's folder.
Clothes Needed in the Health Office
Athletic pants and leggings.
The Franklin health office could use new or gently used elastic waistband pants in sizes 6-10, and matching pairs of small mittens or gloves your child may have outgrown. Thank you!
Lost & Found
The Randall Lost and Found has  115  gloves,  46  hats,  13  sweatshirts,  5  winter coats,  water bottles,  3  pairs of snow pants and  2  lunch boxes! Please come and check it out. Again, please label all outerwear so we can return items to lockers. Thank you, Terri Jaye (Randall nurse assistant)
Also, please check the Franklin Lost and Found, it is FULL of shirts, hats, single mittens, and shoes/boots. All items will be donated after spring break April 6th. Thank you! 
A big thanks to all who made last week's Carnival possible especially our set-up, activity, food, and clean-up volunteers; planning committee - Grace Welham, Ann Sydnor, Laila Borokhim, Liz Penner, Justine Hazins, and Katy Hanzlik; Principals Wallace and Zarov, Custodians Dave Gundersen and Mitch Volkmann, and Shari Joslin.
It was a fun, cotton-candy-filled day!
Kinde Soccer Program Spring 2020
Regent SC Kinde program (Spring 2020) is for players currently in kindergarten (4k/5k) AND born in 2013 and 2014.

Registration deadline is March 15 to guarantee your desired jersey size. Late registrants will be accepted as space allows and a late fee will apply.
