School Snack Survey
Please consider completing this 5 question survey about snacks in school:

The Franklin-Randall Wellness Council would like to find out how staff and families feel about different snack recommendations and how the snacks are collected. We would like to see what works best for staff and families. The goal is to develop guidelines/suggestions for our schools on how snacks could be handled in a way that promotes nutrition, food allergy awareness, cultural sensitivity, and is realistic/easy for families and staff.

THANK YOU!!

Please consider helping! It’s not too time consuming and helps a LOT. More info about the 5-2-1-0 Challenge will be in upcoming newsletters.
  • Input points earned by students & staff into Excel spreadsheet (Google doc) after each week of Challenge. **The more volunteers we have for this, the better.**

  • Put up a bulletin board (everything’s ready to go) at Franklin & Randall

If you’re interested in helping, please let me, Nurse Lovell know what you’d like to do and I’ll give you more information.

Winter Carnival Shout Outs
Freddy Falcon
A huge thanks to all of the volunteers that helped with the Winter Carnival, all the people who donated prizes for our game, and the PEG groups for providing delicious food. A special thanks to Ms. Zarov for stepping in to face paint and Mr. Wallace for being our emcee for the raffle.

**********************************

Hmong Parent Empowerment Group (PEG) parents, Randall alumni and PEG coordinators once again happily showed up early Saturday morning(7am!) to prepare and fry egg rolls for the carnival. 400 egg rolls were made and sold this year! Hmong parents joyfully contribute this expertise and give of their time as a thank you to the PTO for their support of the parent group. It’s a tradition that has been going on for many years and many of the parents have participated for over a decade!
