Summer Youth Programs

Neighborhood House Community Center is offering a variety of camps and programs this summer.

Spanish Conversation Hour
Join us Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. beginning June 2nd for informal, yet informative, meetings to learn and enhance Spanish conversation skills. All Spanish levels are welcome!

Youth Summer Camp
Summer Camp at Neighborhood House is an endless adventure for children ages 7-12.

Whether your child loves running around at the park, expressing themselves artistically, or exploring the city of Madison, they will feel at home at our summer camp.

In 2021, camp will run 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday to Friday starting Monday, June 21st and ending Friday, August 13th.

Madison Community Experience
Neighborhood House Community Center has revamped our summer enrichment programming for teens and will provide a free 9 week camp that explores the role of community in the outdoors, local area art and cooking. This opportunity is available to students entering 9th-12th grades.

The Madison Community Experience is a dynamic educational opportunity that centers itself in building community, self awareness and advancing leadership skills while developing participants’ abilities to critically think and impact the world around them.

Each three-week session has a distinct thematic focus, but every session will focus on the development of critical thinking skills, self reflection as an educational tool and how community involvement impacts our city.

Outdoors Session: June 21st - July 8th
Art Session: July 12th - July 29th
Cooking Session: August 2nd - August 19th

Monday-Thursday: 9am-3:00pm

This a very hands-on summer enrichment opportunity that is focused on serving youth who have traditionally had limited access to quality summer programming. We are encouraging students to apply who have a thirst for knowledge, value self growth and who would benefit from learning in an outdoor educational environment.

This opportunity will be very fun and engaging, but the students are expected to apply themselves, be engaged each day of camp, and will be expected to complete a small hands-on project at the end of each three week session.
