Happy Friday!

Sending you all virtual love and hugs from Mrs. Z. and the Franklin Staff as we figure out our new normal. Today (Friday), Franklin teachers had a virtual dance party and a Zoom meeting.

Here are a few reminders:

Please remember that next week, 3/23–3/27, is MMSD’s new spring break week.

Please take a look at our Franklin Resource Page — there are new sections:
One about volunteering options and one about Housing support.

Please take a look at our Franklin Enrichment and Learning Links document . This is a doc that will house all of the various links and learning opportunities by grade level/special/specialist for now. Beginning Monday, anything new will be highlighted in yellow with the date by it!

We are getting daily updates about how and what online learning will look like for MMSD (likely beginning the week of April 6). Please stay tuned! This will look different depending on the grade level. Many details are still unknown at this point.

Here is a video that was created by some Franklin and Randall students a few years ago that accompanied our Move to Learn Posters. This video will give you some guidance on how to do some of these exercises at home. Thanks to F-R parent, Liz Preston, for putting this together!
Speaking of videos, please subscribe to our YouTube channel for fun updates and other opportunities for families to connect virtually with our staff.
"Social distancing is also an  act of generosity  and  compassion  toward others by eliminating our interactions as a possible vector for viral transmission. Let that sink in – the primary motivation for social distancing is to  benefit others ."
