Equity Snack Pantries
Volunteers Needed for Next School Year
Would you like to help purchase snacks and keep an Equity Snack Pantry stocked at one of our schools? The Wellness Council is looking for volunteers (preferably members of a low-cost club, such as Costco) for next school year (2019-2020). Depending on how many volunteers we have, you might be asked to make 6 trips a year to purchase snacks & deliver to one of our schools. Funds come from a PTO budget specifically for this (thanks, PTO!).
If interested, please contact Yvonne Wullschleger, bilingual resource specialist at Franklin (& Randall) ( ) or Katie Larsen-Klodd, social worker at Randall ( ). Thanks for considering!
Wellness Council Update
In 2018-2019, the Franklin-Randall Wellness Council (WC) did not exist in the traditional sense. As mentioned in the 2017-2018 WC summary, although support was present, attendance at meetings was minimal. This year, Nurse Lovell asked for volunteers when needed via the Franklin-Randall PTO newsletter, and she focused on continuing things already started by the WC last year: recess equipment, 5-2-1-0 challenge, equity snack pantries, and wellness opportunities for staff.

The Randall Garden Needs You
The Randall Garden needs guest caretakers to keep it thriving this summer! If your family is interested, please sign up for a week to garden this summer, and we'll send you the information you'll need to tend the garden. Thank you!

Last Call for PTO Reimbursements
Please submit any remaining PTO reimbursement and/or payment requests for the 2018–2019 school year. The PTO would like to have all items submitted by June 1 to allow time for processing and so the Board has a full picture of what was spent this year before setting the budget for next year. Please make sure to fill out the Expense Reimbursement Form completely:

It should be submitted along with an invoice or receipt. Electronic submissions (scan/photo) are preferable, but paper forms can be mailed or dropped in the school offices. If you aren't sure of the “PTO Account to be charged”, please reference the 2018–19 Final Budget (also found on the Finances website linked above).

Questions and completed requests (with receipts) can be directed to:
Please Check the Lost and Found
Be sure to check Franklin's overflowing lost and found before the end of the year! All items left unclaimed will be sorted and donated over summer break.
