DVD of the Week |

This week's Book of the Week is 'Believe Me' by J.P. Delaney.
Claire is a British immigrant in America, struggling to find work. She ends up as a con woman, baiting would-be high-profile cheaters into propositioning her while she records them. She's good at it and it pays the bills, until she is asked to con a suspected murderer, and the easy cash comes with more danger than she could have imagined. The cons are fun to read, but the book takes a serious turn... you'll know when.

Wow, what a wild ride it has been! The Summer Reading Program comes to its successful conclusion this week, so now is your last chance to get a spin on the wheel. This Thursday is a wombo-combo party, mixing the 10th Anniversary of the Library in its 'new' location and the Summer Reading Finale. There is a Mushroom Talk and Hike in the morning at 9am with the New Hampshire Mushroom Company. At 4pm, the real party starts with Katie Dobbins' performance, a cookout, games, crafts, and more for all ages. It'll be a day to remember, and a wonderful way to celebrate all of the readers that partook in the program. Thanks to the Friends for supporting the Summer Reading Finale.

Each time we venture out for meanders in the woods, we find stories of change unfolding before our wondering eyes.. There's new growth, transformations, and evidence of the animals who live here. Locally, the last of the sweet raspberries have faded, making room in our stomachs for blueberries and blackberries. Early New England asters are in bloom with Sumac, Meadowsweet, spiny plumeless thistles and golden rod making their appearances. The birds aren't quite as noisy as they have already settled into domesticity and don't need to find partners. The weather in August is also constantly changing, from hot humid days and booming thunderstorms, to crystal clear blue skies and sunshine. It's a wonderful time of year to head out and explore. See how many stories you can discover.
