Gloucester County Announces New Appointments in its Fiscal Services and Purchasing Departments
Gloucester County Administrator Brent Fedors recently announced the appointments of Gloucester native Christine Joyce as Purchasing Manager in the Purchasing Department and Gloucester resident Maria Calloway as Fiscal Services Manager in the Fiscal Services Department. Both women have a rich history with the County government and employ first-hand experience in accomplishing the duties of the new roles they are assuming.
Gloucester’s 2020 Pocahontas Celebration to be held Virtually
Gloucester County will once again be celebrating the life and legacy of Pocahontas throughout the month of November, but in a virtual fashion. A series of videos incorporated into this year’s Virtual Celebration will be found on local channel 48, Gloucester’s Parks Recreation and Tourism’s website, www.gloucesterva.info/pr and on the County’s YouTube channel beginning Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m.

This year's parade will be broadcast on Facebook and on the Parks, Recreation and Tourism's website on Saturday, December 5 at 3:00 pm.
Rappahannock Community College (RCC) is offering free tuition and training for residents whose employment status has been affected by COVID-19. Residents must act by December 14, 2020 to take advantage of this exciting opportunity that is funded through the state’s new Re-employing Virginians (REV) Initiative.
