GUEST Volunteers Needed

As the GUEST Shelter prepares for the winter season, we reflect on the past year and are thankful to have helped a number of families and individuals find permanent housing solutions.

Since April 1, 2019, the Housing Resource Advocate at the GUEST Day Shelter has worked with over 70 individuals and families from the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck to assist them in finding housing and financial assistance. Over 27 individuals found permanent housing solutions with the assistance of nearly $24,000 in Rapid Rehousing Funds.

In preparation for the winter shelter season, volunteers are needed to help staff the day and night shelters.
Training sessions are scheduled as follows:

 2471 Hickory Fork Road, Gloucester
 Thursday, December 5, 7:00 pm
