THE QUILTS OF RIVER COUNTRY
Parks, Recreation and Tourism and River Country Quilt Guild are sponsoring The Quilts of River Country Show on Friday, September 20 from Noon to 4:00 pm and Saturday, September 21 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Colonial Court Circle. There is a $3 admission fee to see quilts on display in the Colonial Courthouse, Clayton Building, Roane Building. Free displays include a special show of work by Quilt Bees at Arts on Main and a new antique quilt display is in the Gloucester Museum of History. Quilt Shops will be on site for a little shopping. There will be quilt and quilted item sales, an RCQ Challenge display and demonstrations of quilting techniques. For more information call PRT at 804-693-2355.
  WASHINGTON DC
Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring a Best Years Trip to Washington DC on Wednesday, September 11 from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Spend the day on your own, visit the Smithsonian, the monuments, the train station, the museums, ride the city on the hop on buses and more. We will drop you off at the Natural History Museum of the Smithsonian then pick you up at the same spot. Meals on your own. The fee is $39 and the deadline to register is September 4 or when the trip fills.
Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring several Yoga Classes. Namaste Yoga, for ages 13 and older on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:45 pm at Botetourt, fee $6 per class or $5 per class with punchcard. Gentle Yoga for ages 18 and older on Thursdays from 5:30-6:45 pm at Botetourt, fee is $30 for 6-week session (September 12-October 17). Chair Yoga for ages 18 and older is on Mondays and Fridays from 11:00 am to Noon at the PRT Office, fee is $6 per day.

ADULT BASKETBALL LEAGUES REGISTRATION
Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring adult basketball leagues for ages 18 and over or ages 35 and over. Teams will play a 10-game schedule from September 16 through November 21. The fee for the 18 and over league is $615 for Gloucester residents or $675 for non-residents and the 35 and older league is $510 for residents and $560 for non-residents. The deadline to register is September 10.
