Did your family live in Gloucester during the Revolutionary War?

Gloucester County is seeking information from local historians or residents who have roots back to the colonial days in Gloucester. Residents whose family lived in Gloucester during the Revolutionary War may have vital information for a historical project the County is working on in conjunction with a consultant.

Water tower work will not impact customers

A contractor with Gloucester County’s Public Utilities department will begin maintenance work on the water tower at the former Page Middle School site on Monday, February 17. Though the work is scheduled to take three to four weeks to complete, the water treatment plant will operate 24 hours per day during that period to maintain normal function of the County’s water system.

According to Chris Dawson, director of Gloucester’s Public Utilities department, the contractor will be performing an interior renovation of the tower.
