Fresh From the Tanks
There's a certain buzz around the winery and no, it's not from the alcohol! It's the excitement in the air from so many new wine releases. This month you'll be able to purchase the 2010 Pinot Noir, 2012 Unoaked Chardonnay (more commonly known around the winery as Leigh's Chardonnay), 2012 Pinot Gris and our 2012 Sauvignon Blanc! Can't decide which one sounds the best? Stop in to our tasting rooms in both Hector and Naples, NY and you can be the judge! Cheers!

Sahlen's Six Hours
Red Cat Racing is teaming up once again with Watkins Glen International for a summer to remember! Join us Saturday, June 29th as the Red Cat Summer Stage kicks things up a notch, or twelve, with Davy Knowles & The Rocky Mountain Stone Flies and Underwater Tiger! The party starts at the conclusion of the last race. Also, remember to pick up your limited edition Red Cat racing bottles. These will be available in both our Hector and Naples, NY tasting rooms at the end of the month.

Q: What is your position?
A: I work in the Tasting Room Staff at Hazlitt's Red Cat Cellars.
Q: How long have you worked at the winery?
A: Since July of 2012.
Q. What is your favorite Hazlitt wine?
A. I enjoy the dry reds.
Q. What do you like to pair our dry reds with? A. Pasta or red meat. I also enjoy them when I am sitting on my porch. Q: What do you do when you're not working at the winery?
A. I pick things up, and I put them down. I also enjoy outdoor concerts in the summer. And now that it is spring, I have a garden to tend to. Oh, lets not forget friends...
Q: What is your favorite event we hold at the winery?
A: The Naples Grape Festival.
Q. What is your favorite memory of working at Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards?
A. Mid day Saturday at last year's grape festival. We were just getting slammed. It was awesome. The people!
Q: If you could live anywhere other than the Finger Lakes, where would it be?
A: That is a tough question. I lived in DC for the five years previous to working here. I thought I wanted to be in DC, but I voluntarily moved to the Finger Lakes because that is where I wanted to be... If not here, Bavaria, Germany.

Around the winery we refer to White Stag as our Liquid Sunshine! This wine possesses a lush fruit character and firm acidity with a burst of peach, pineapple and orange blossom. White Stag makes an excellent pairing with spicy ethnic foods such as Asian, curry or Mexican dishes. It is also a great match for seared tuna or rich cheeses.
