King Kamehameha Day Parade
Arrive early on Saturday morning in Historic Kailua Village on June 8th to get your favorite spot to watch the King Kamehameha Day Parade. This year's theme is Ka Moi Kamehameha Nui (Kamehameha, the Sovereign Ruler of All). The parade begins at 9 am on Kuakini Highway near the Old Kona Airport and travels south on Alii Drive and finishes at the Royal Kona Resort. After the parade be sure to enjoy the Hoolaulea (art and music festival) at Hulihee Palace from 10 am to 4 pm. Fun for the entire family with lots of local food, traditional arts and crafts, hula and Hawaiian music.

The Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament is still fishing for volunteers to help with this year's 60th
Volunteers are needed Thursday, July 25 through Sunday, August 4 for a variety of tournament support including Kailua pier operations, pre and post Tournament set up and breakdown, headquarter administration, security and a whole lot more.
Spend a picture perfect Sunday summer afternoon at Kokua Kailua with local vendors, artists and musicians in Historic Kailua Village. On Sunday, June 9, Alii Drive is the place to be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm for a festive, pedestrian-only outdoor marketplace that makes for a great family friendly experience. Don't forget there's free Hawaiian entertainment at Hulihee Palace starting at 4:00 pm too.
Hawaiian Sunset Saturday
Celebrate Kona's spectacular sunset with live Hawaiian music and beautiful hula performed by Halau Ka'eaikahelelani on Saturday, June 29 at Coconut Grove Marketplace on Alii Drive from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Bring a lawn chair or beach mat. No coolers please.
