St. Vincent de Paul will be able to reopen their pantry at Holy Apostles on Monday, June 1. The pantry is grateful for the volunteers that stepped forward to make the reopening possible. As of right now, there are enough volunteers to fill the positions that were advertised recently!

Please check back periodically to see how you may be able to volunteer and/or support SVdP. They are truly the hands and feet of Jesus ministering to those in need.

JULY
Sharp Objects  by Gillian Flynn. A compulsively readable psychological thriller that marks [a] dazzling debut...[Flynn] has written a clever crime story with astonishing twists and turns, and enough suspense for the most demanding fans of the genre. But it is the sensitive yet disturbing depiction of her heroine that makes this an especially engrossing story...Flynn's empathic understanding of her major characters leads to storytelling that is sure and true, and it marks her a write to watch.  Chicago Sun-Times

AUGUST
The Lilac Girls  by Martha Hall Kelly. Based on a true story of a New York socialite who championed a group of concentration camp survivors known as the Rabbits, this acclaimed debut novel reveals a story of love, redemption, and terrible secrets that were hidden for decades.
