We Are In This Together

In a time when few things are as they used to be, and our city and country find themselves in the middle of a pandemic and the turmoil of a national uprising against racism, one thing has not changed: Impact Austin's relentless and unyielding commitment to make a difference in our community. Recap: 2020 Annual Meeting

As they say, extraordinary times require extraordinary measures! The Impact Austin Annual Meeting Committee certainly rose to this challenge in transforming this year's event into a virtual celebration that even included a living room dance party! Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to event chair Katie Dochen, our title sponsor Bumble and C2C Media for providing the video support for this event. Some of our favorite highlights were the Together In Service video (left) and the announcement of our 2020 Community Partners. If you missed it, you can find the full meeting video here .

2020 Community Partners At a time when our Central Texas non-profits encountered an unexpected and daunting financial crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Impact Austin acted quickly to support our Community Partners. For the first time ever, each grant category split their award between the two finalists with 75% of the grant going to the applicant with the highest number of votes and the other finalist receiving 25%. Impact Austin also moved up the voting timeline in order to disburse these much needed funds. Winners were announced during a Facebook Live event a whole month ahead of schedule.

Grantmaking: 2020 Social Innovation Grant

For Members SIG Grant Review Committee (GRC) sign-up is open now through Friday, August 14, 2020. Learn more about this GRC or sign up at the link below. Sign Up Now For Nonprofits SIG applications open on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 and will kick-off with an info session at 11:00 AM that same day. Register for the info session by July 21. Learn More

Girls Giving Grants: Enrollment Opens July 15th

Girls Giving Grants (g3) just finished a successful grantmaking season with awards going to both Friends of the Children and Mothers' Milk Bank. To date, g3 has granted more than $90,000 to Austin area nonprofits. Please watch this message from g3 President Katiana Soenen and encourage a young woman in your life to join the next generation of philanthropists! Registration for g3 membership will be open July 15 through September 25 on the g3 website.
