Dear Jeffco Community,
These are indeed extraordinary times for our community, state, nation, and world. In this present era, we are all having to contend with a global pandemic, an economic disaster, and civil unrest. Perhaps not in our lifetimes has our resolve and the strength of our communities and institutions been put to the test like they are now. I am steadfast in my belief that we will find our way through these challenging times and that our best days are still to come.
In spite of our struggles, we must also take the time to recognize the tremendous accomplishments of our young people, and to celebrate their successes. This is especially true for the graduates of 2020, who begin their journey as adults under these extraordinary circumstances.
This edition of Chalk Talk is dedicated to our 2020 Jeffco graduates. Please join me in congratulating these seniors and wishing them a successful and happy future.

CONGRATULATIONS
TO OUR 2020 GRADUATES!
Every school year, it is an honor to see so many Jeffco Public Schools seniors graduate and step into their futures. This year, due to the unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic, the graduating class of 2020 did not get the traditional senior experience. While we await the in-person ceremonies planned for August, we have been gathering all the creative ways that our students, families, schools, and staff members have come together to celebrate the remarkable Class of 2020!

Dear 2020 graduates,
On behalf of the entire Jeffco Public Schools community, congratulations on graduating! We are all very proud of you. Despite the impact of COVID-19 and its unexpected ending to your Jeffco experience, please remember that this moment does not replace all the positive ones you had as a student. Whether you're entering the workforce, serving our country, continuing your education or any other path, you will be stronger because of this experience. The class of 2020 will be remembered as a class of resilience and as one that succeeded in spite of challenges.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jason Glass
