When John F. Murphy Homes set out to hire a new Chief Financial Officer it wanted a financial professional who could help the organization soar to new heights. Andrew Cowan, whose personal best high jump of 7'1" ranks in the top 30 jumps in Canadian Track and Field, certainly fits the bill.

Andrew has been with our agency for less than a month.  While he is new to the provider industry, he has the professional training and experience to excel in an organization like John F. Murphy Homes.

He is a CPA and a 2001 graduate of Northeastern University in Boston where he studied accounting and finance.  Andrew attended the institution on an athletic scholarship and captained the track team. 

Drawn to John F. Murphy Homes by the size of the organization and the opportunity to contribute to the success of our agency, Andrew has completed introductory training and is becoming familiar with our financial systems.

He has appreciated the family atmosphere at Central Office and the way the finance department contributes to development plans.  By collecting and tracking payments as little as $1 from people we support, the department provides valuable and tangible financial experiences.

Andrew lives in Scarborough with his wife, two young daughters and two dogs.  His hobbies include playing hockey, rooting for the Maple Leafs, and fantasy football.
