Colleen Kennedy
New KEEN Board President

KEEN Greater DC-Baltimore welcomes our new board President, Colleen Kennedy. Colleen has been with KEEN for over 25 years after her daughter Caitlin joined KEEN as one of our first athletes. Colleen manages the bowling program in Bethesda which was Caitlin's favorite activity. She has served on the KEEN board of directors for 13 years. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the ARC for Montgomery County, and is an active member of IRSA (International Rett Syndrome Association). Colleen recently retired after serving over 30 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia. She is looking forward to her new role on the board in providing new programs and sites for families of children with special needs!

Get Ready for Bullis Gives Back on May 5th!
|
The 11th Annual Bullis Gives Back 5K run/2.5K walk and Michelle Benaim Buddy Run and Olympics, will take place Sunday May 5, 2019 at the Bullis School in Potomac, MD. This year's theme is "Together We Inspire", and consists of a wheel chair accessible buddy run, obstacle courses for children of all abilities, pony rides, music and more!

26th Annual KEEN Golf Classic
|
Join us for the
KEEN Golf Classic
presented by Marriott International on Monday, May 20 at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD.
The tournament features a round of golf, several contests, great auction items, cocktails and dinner.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Can you help? Volunteers are needed to help with registration from 9am-12:30pm, to help with on course contests from 11:30am-5:00pm and with the dinner program from 5pm-7:30pm.

KEEN is opening a new yoga program for young adults in Northeast Washington, DC. Programs sessions will be held on Saturdays, twice a month. Participants will learn and practice the basics of yoga in this gentle stretching program. If you know a person with disability (17-25 years old) who would like to join KEEN Yoga, please contact Beth Wenger at programsDC@keengreaterdc.org.

Please join us on weekend sessions to play and exercise with KEEN athletes. The programs are FUN and we need your energy! Our volunteers are the heart of KEEN programs and we would not be able to run the sessions without your support.
