25 Stories of KEEN's Past, Present and Future
Strong corporate partnerships are an essential part of many non-profit organizations. That is certainly true of KEEN Greater DC.
For the past eight years, Total Wine & More has been supporting KEEN through our annual fall fundraising event, KEENFest. It all began in 2010 when a volunteer reached out to Total Wine inquiring if they would host a wine tasting at that year's KEENFest. They agreed, and have been providing annual support ever since.
Owner David Trone explains, "We chose to support KEEN for a variety of reasons, but the most important is the country is only as great as how we help those that are most vulnerable. Making the lives better for children with disabilities, there is nothing more important."

New Program Openings to Honor 25th Anniversary
|
2017 has been a busy year for KEEN Greater DC! To honor our 25 years of service, KEEN executed an expansion plan to open three new programs, one in each area we serve by the end of the year.
In February, we opened
KEEN Bowling for Young Adults in Baltimore, DC.
This past May, KEEN expanded into Arlington, VA with the opening of
Sports for Kids at Bishop O'Connell High School
. Just last weekend, KEEN opened our third new program of the year,
Zumba/Dance in Washington, DC
(featured on the left).
We are proud to announce the opening of these new programs. We do still have some open spots in these programs.
Please help us spread the word!
New parents can contact
Beth
to enroll their athlete.

Would you like to take a Leadership Role with KEEN?
|
We are looking for volunteers to help us:
* run programs
*
organize KEEN volunteer social events
* organize a service project with your professional or social groups (i.e. employer, sports team, alumni group, family & friends) to volunteer for a session Helping KEEN in these ways has benefits. It provides opportunity to build transferrable skills in public speaking and supervising, managing, and organizing people and activities.
And we're always happy to have you simply come to volunteer as a one-on-one coach for our athletes, without any commitment.

You can make KEEN On the Move! as informative as possible. Please let us know what YOU want to read about. Know an athlete, volunteer, business or donor who is creating acceptance and opportunities through KEEN?
