HERE FOR YOU

Please know we are thinking of each of you. If there is anything we can assist you with – including public relations assistance, social media help, an acknowledgement letter for loans or grants, or anything else, please reach out to a Visitors Bureau team member. Keep in mind you can also share ideas, concerns, challenges, and questions with each other and our team in our private, closed Kenosha Area Tourism Partner Facebook Group. If you have customers asking how to help, Downtown Kenosha Inc. is spearheading this Downtown & Uptown Kenosha Recovery Fundraiser. We thank all of the volunteers that have been supporting our community.
Great Lakes Scuttlebutt
POSITIVE PR

Our travel writer friends Sue Reddel and Diana Laskaris have written about the 9 Best Foodie Experiences In Kenosha, based on their past visits and new openings. On August 19, the article posted on the Travel Awaits website. The site is “dedicated to the 50+ traveler who’s ready to cross a few items off their bucket list.” Meanwhile, in mid-July, we were contacted by the editor of Great Lakes Scuttlebutt magazine to provide editorial and photos for a feature in the Fall issue. This is a bi-monthly, free magazine distributed at 1,600+ locations along the U.S. and Canadian coastlines of the Great Lakes. At no cost to us, the publicity has a $4,500 value. View the issue with Kenosha as its featured Lake Michigan destination here (starting on page 82).

Also, please continue to send us any photos you have of employees or customers wearing face coverings that we can use in our marketing efforts!

MJ
20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The end of August had a notable cause of celebration – Meridith Jumisko, also known as the Ambassador of Fun, marked 20 years with the Kenosha Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. During her time with the KACVB, she has been responsible for helping to develop and maintain four versions of the organization’s website, has worked with dozens of contacts to achieve millions of dollars in earned media coverage for our community, has helped educate third graders about Kenosha’s history and offerings, and led communications to our travelers via our newsletters. Meridith has served on a number of committees during her time with the CVB as well, including the Kenosha History Center Board of Directors. THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION TO TOURISM IN THE KENOSHA AREA!
