Happy Holidays, KYSITE!

We want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and THANK YOU to everyone who made 2022 an awesome year for our Section. This year was a special year for us as we were able to get back to most of our normal KYSTIE activities and host the 2022 SDITE Annual Meeting in Louisville which was a huge success! We could not have pulled this off without our wonderful KYSITE community.

We hope 2023 is just as splendid as 2022 was and that we continue to grow our KYSITE presence. The board has already outlined a tentative schedule for activities in the new year starting off with a Winter Technical Meeting in Lexington at the LFUCG Phoenix Building Conference Room on January 26th. Registration details will come after the new year.

  • March 19-22 - SDITE Annual Meeting - Savannah, GA

KYSITE Events
2023 KYSITE Winter Technical Meeting
Please join us Thursday, January 26th for our winter technical meeting. We are going to be at the LFUCG Phoenix Building's Conference Room in downtown Lexington, KY. We are planning on having a couple hours for a technical session and offer boxed lunches. If you wish to be a speaker, please reach out to our board.

Registration details will be sent out in early January.

ITE Awards Information
ITE International and SDITE are accepting award nominations for several categories in the coming weeks. Listed below are the awards available. The SDITE individual award nominations must be submitted by December 30th, 2022. The SDITE Section award nominations are due January 18th, 2023. The ITE award nominations are due in March. Please contact the KYSITE board if you wish to make a nomination for any of these categories and we will send you the nomination forms.

SDITE Individual Awards (due December 30th):
  • Excellence in Transportation Engineering Education Award
  • Joseph M. Thomas Young Member Award
  • John F. Exnicios Outstanding Public Service Award
  • Private Sector Employee Outstanding Service Award
  • Marble J. Hensley Outstanding Individual Activity Award
  • Herman J. Hoose Distinguished Service Award

SDITE Section Awards (due January 18th):
  • Outstanding Section Group 1 (GAITE, NCSITE, TSITE, VASITE)
