2016 Fall Technical Meeting
If we didn't see you this past Tuesday at Completely Kentucky, then you missed out on a very informative KYSITE Fall Technical Meeting.
We head from Ted Swanseger on "What's New in Traffic Signal and Roadway Lighting Design at KYTC". The answer to that question is LOTS! There will be new prequalifications coming in 2017 for KYTC Electrical Engineering Traffic Signal and Roadway Lighting Services. "What's New in the KYTC HSIP Program" was presented by Jarrod Stanley. He provided some information about how the Cabinet is starting to include Highway Safety Manual methods and tools (IHSDM Software). The last presentation was by Lindsay Walker, presenting on her perspective and group project for LeadershipITE. Leadership ITE is a program put on by ITE to identify, develop, and engage leaders to ensure that ITE and its members are positioned to participate and shape the future of transportation. Her group project was on ITE's role in the emerging connected vehicle / autonomous vehicle trends. If you have any questions about LeadershipITE, feel free to contact Lindsay Walker
or Scott Walker
for more information. Scott was a graduate of the inaugural class and Lindsay just recently graduated from the third class.
Thanks to our presenters and everyone who made it out on Tuesday for helping us to have a successful and informative Fall Technical Meeting.

2016 KYSTIE Annual Meeting
Please join us for our Annual Meeting / Silent Auction on Thursday night November 17, 2016

This's year's location will be new but follows along with previous themes of distillery locations. Boundary Oak Distillery is a family-owned business near Elizabethtown, Kentucky. It recently opened two months ago and started distilling their own bourbon. While the bourbon is not ready yet - they do have several other products that have been in the works for taste-testing. For more information about the distillery, please visit:
The evening will start with a tour and tasting at 5:30 PM (EST), have some time for a bidding war on fun and exciting silent auction items, and wrap up with a quick business meeting. Drinks and dinner will be included. You can register for the meeting
