Happy Independence Day!  As we all prepare to celebrate the 4th of July, we want to take a moment to remind everyone to be safe. Remember the sunscreen. Be sure to keep the grill in a safe location on level ground, away from structures, backyard games, kids and pets. The best way to enjoy fireworks is to attend a public fireworks show put on by professionals; it is safer, bigger, and cheaper. Weather you are grilling out, enjoying fireworks, or just hanging out by the pool, we hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday.

Uber driver was streaming Hulu show just before self-driving car crash: Police report -
  • Police said the crash was "deemed entirely avoidable" if the driver had been paying attention.
  • According to the report, the driver could face charges of vehicle manslaughter.
  • The Uber car was in autonomous mode at the time of the crash.
This begs the question... If people have a hard enough time paying attention to the road when they are in control of the vehicle, do we expect them to pay attention when the car is driving itself?

Trump rebuild America program sends $67 million to remake I-75 in Boone County -
Northern Kentucky will get $67.4 million from the federal government to address traffic problems on Interstate 75.

No, it's not for the Brent Spence Bridge, that'll require $2.5 billion, but a little further south in Boone County.

Kentucky was given the money to rebuild two I-75/I-71 interchanges in Boone County as part of President Donald Trump's pledge to rebuild America's infrastructure.


Be on the lookout for road paint striping crews in KY - 
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says to be on the lookout for a traffic paint striping crews working along Kentucky highways.

Whenever you meet the crews please remember to slow down and use caution.

Place Making Projects 

San Francisco city planners converted this irregular intersection into Jane Warner Plaza. The new defined plaza makes it easier for drivers to understand traffic patterns and has become one of the most popular pedestrian meeting spots in the city. The photos show the before and after.
