The Changing Face of Transportation

We hope you had an enjoyable and relaxing Thanksgiving and are ready for the holiday season that is upon us. With the holidays comes more travel. According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the number of long distance trips (greater than 50 miles away) increases 54% during the 6 day Thanksgiving travel period, and 23% during the Christmas/New Year holiday period, compared to the average number for the remainder of the year. Additionally, 91% of travel is by personal vehicle, such as a car.

We hope everyone stays safe with all of the upcoming holiday travel, and a s always, let us know if there is anything we can do for you!
