Happy New Year, KYSITE!

We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and a great start to 2023. We are looking forward to getting things kicked off here at KYSITE.

We are excited to get involved with this great community through events and activities this year. The board has developed a tentative schedule for the year that starts off with the Winter Technical Session happening NEXT WEEK! We hope to see you there. Registration details have been sent out and there will be more details on the event below.

2023 KYSITE Winter Technical Meeting
Please join us Thursday, January 26th for our winter technical meeting. We are going to be at the LFUCG Phoenix Building's Conference Room in downtown Lexington, KY. There will be 3 PDH's available through technical sessions on the following topics; Town Branch Commons, Incorporating Complete Streets, Integrating Land Use into Planning, and other projects in Central KY. Lunch will be provided as well!

2023 SDITE Annual Meeting
The Georgian Section of ITE is hosting the 2023 SDITE Annual Meeting in Savannah, Georgia. As always, SDITE will bring together best practices in transportation, a best in class technical program, soft-skills training, networking, hands-on displays and demonstrations by vendors, and loads of fun. ITE Awards Information
ITE International and SDITE are accepting award nominations for several categories. Listed below are the awards available. The SDITE Section award nominations are due today, January 18th, 2023. The ITE award nominations are due in March. Please contact the KYSITE board if you wish to make a nomination for any of these categories and we will send you the nomination forms.

SDITE Section Awards (due January 18th):
  • Outstanding Section Group 1 (GAITE, NCSITE, TSITE, VASITE)
  • Outstanding Section Group 2 (ALSITE, DSITE, KYSITE, SCSITE)

ITE Awards:
  • Transportation Achievement Awards (due March 1st)
  • Council Impact Awards (due March 31st)
