The Changing Face of Transportation

Happy June!  There has been a lot going on since our last newsletter was sent out.  We have updates for you from the Southern District Annual Meeting that was held in Nashville back in April, as well as information about our annual golf outing coming up in July. If there is anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

- KYSITE Officers
Southern District Annual Meeting

The SDITE Annual Meeting was held in Nashville, Tennessee this past April (April 10 - 13).  We had great representation from the Kentucky Section at this meeting with 20 professionals in attendance representing consultants, agency, and academic fields.  We also had a great enthusiastic group of students representing Kentucky in the Traffic Bowl.  The meeting wrapped up with awards at the Annual Banquet and a surprise musical performance to advertise the SDITE Annual Meeting next year.  Eric Green and Tony Fields provided the musical background for the performance of "Africa" by Mike Ridgeway (Local Arrangement Chair for SDITE 2017 Annual Meeting).  With this prelude we would encourage all that can to make plans to attend the 2017 SDITE Annual Meeting in Columbia, South Carolina.
2016 KYSITE Golf Outing

The Annual KYSTE Golf Outing has been scheduled for Thursday, July 28 at Brook Golf Resort in Versailles.  We will have a great lunch, followed by a round of golf with exciting giveaways and prizes.

The World's Best Cycling Infrastructure

Today's best bicycle architecture is located in Spain and is part of a recreation area that was built after one of Madrid's major highways was buried underground. Thanks to Charles Schaub for passing these along!
