Happy March, KYSITE!

Hope you all have had an amazing month even through this mess of an NCAA March Madness Tournament. The KYSITE board is working to put together some events for the Spring and Summer and are excited to get details out to you all. Below is a list of events to look out for in the upcoming months.

KYSITE/Ohio ITE Joint Meeting
Save the Date! KYSITE is excited to be co-hosting a Spring Technical Session with Ohio on May 3rd, 2023 at OKI in Cincinnati, Ohio. The meeting will include lunch and PDH opportunities through an afternoon technical session.
2023 KYSITE Scholarship Golf Outing
Be on the lookout for information regarding the 2023 KYSITE Scholarship Golf Outing! We are looking for volunteers to help set up the event so reach out to kysite@itedsc.org if you have any interest.
International ITE Annual Meeting in Portland, OR
This year’s theme for the Joint ITE International and Western District Annual Meeting and Exhibition is Connecting People and Communities. This meeting will take place in the Oregon Convention Center (OCC) and its headquarters hotel, the brand new Hyatt Regency hotel, just across the river from downtown Portland. The OCC and hotel are steps from Portland MAX light rail, convenient to many local and regional attractions, and a gateway to the Pacific Northwest, making it a great opportunity for both individual and family travel.
The early bird deadline for registration is June 23, 2023.
2023 SDITE Annual Meeting Recap

KYSITE had an amazing turnout at the Southern District ITE Annual Meeting this year. Congratulations to our own Lindsey Walker being elected as SDITE president! And thank you to Scott Walker who finished his term as International Director for SDITE. The group participated in technical sessions and also presented technical sessions. We want to thank those who presented in this group for representing KYSITE so well.

KYSITE News and Announcements
ITE's Transportation Planners Initiative
The ITE International Board of Directors has launched a transportation planner recruitment campaign. This campaign is aimed at inviting planners into ITE and giving them the opportunity to experience ITE and see the value that ITE provides.

With this campaign there is a special membership offer that allows transportation planning professionals to join for FREE in 2023.
