Winter Technical Meeting Recap
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Winter Technical Meeting. As a quick recap, this meeting included technical presentations, networking, and Jimmy Johns for lunch!

  • To kick us off, Brent Sweger from KYTC Planning gave a presentation on integrating land use and transportation planning.
  • Following that, Kenzie Gleason and Scott Thompson from the Lexington Area MPO gave a complete streets presentation.
  • Then Brandi Peacher from the Lexington Mayor's office gave an overview presentation of the Town Branch Commons project.
  • Casey Smith from KYTC wrapped us up by presenting a project overview and update for KYTC District 7 and also discussing the ongoing SHIFT process.
2023 SDITE Annual Meeting
The Georgian Section of ITE is hosting the 2023 SDITE Annual Meeting in Savannah, Georgia. As always, SDITE will bring together best practices in transportation, a best in class technical program, soft-skills training, networking, hands-on displays and demonstrations by vendors, and loads of fun.

SDITE Voting Reminder
Voting for 2024 Southern District Officers is open. Voting will close at 6 PM Eastern on March 8th. Lindsay Walker from KYSITE is a candidate for SDITE President. If you are a voting member, a link has been sent out, so check your emails and vote if you haven't yet.
ITE's Transportation Planners Initiative
The ITE International Board of Directors has launched a transportation planner recruitment campaign. This campaign is aimed at inviting planners into ITE and giving them the opportunity to experience ITE and see the value that ITE provides.

With this campaign there is a special membership offer that allows transportation planning professionals to join for FREE in 2023.
ITE Awards Information
ITE International is accepting award nominations for several categories. Listed below are the awards available. The ITE award nominations are due in March. Please contact the KYSITE board if you wish to make a nomination for either of these categories and we will send you the nomination forms.

  • Council Impact Awards (due March 31st)
