The summer is here and that means sun, vacation and roadway construction are all in full swing! We also have one of our more fun events coming up in the next couple months, the KYSITE golf outing. This event will be held at the same venue as last year, at the Weissinger Hills Golf Course in Shelbyville, KY. We had an excellent showing last year and as a result we raised over $1000 dollars for the KYSITE scholarship fund.
Speaking of the scholarship, the deadline has come and gone and we will soon be contacting the winning student with the great news! Additional

New York CV Pilot Completes DSRC Licensing -
.The New York City CV pilot project area encompasses three distinct areas in the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. The project has 353 sites where CV equipment using DSRC requires FCC licenses to operate.
Using the maximum EIRP required NYCDOT to put in three license applications per RSU deployment site to license the full channel range at each EIRP level, nearly 1000 licenses in total. The licensing process took about 18 months for NYCDOT to complete because of the large volume of licenses, geographic locations to airports, and multiple agency reviews.
