OPENING DOORS TO THE FUTURE: SHOWCASING OUR SCHOOL
On Wednesday evening, the King David Atrium was filled with prospective families eager to experience our annual Open House and discover what makes our school truly unique. Through a video presentation, informative talks, and engaging interactive tours, guests encountered “the King David difference”: a vibrant community of students who love to learn, imagine, challenge themselves, and build connections. At King David, we nurture individual strengths and encourage students to excel in academics, sports, the arts, culinary arts, and, importantly, as mensches.
This year, we showcased the unparalleled value of a King David education—an education that not only emphasizes Jewish life but also fosters a deep sense of belonging, the development of confident, capable leaders, and academic success through in-class and hands-on experiences. Our guest speakers included Grade 10 student Nora, her brother and Class of 2024 graduate Max, and their mother, Jessica Forman, who shared heartfelt reflections on their journeys with King David.
Reflecting on her experiences, Nora shared, “Over the past year, I’ve realized how lucky I am to be at a Jewish school surrounded by people who understand, care, and support us, especially in challenging times for Israel and the Jewish community worldwide. With rising antisemitism, I’m grateful for a safe, accepting space where I can freely express my Judaism without judgment.”
Max added, “Transitioning from high school to university hasn’t been easy, but the lessons I learned at King David have helped immensely. I feel prepared to manage my time, study effectively, think creatively, and work collaboratively. Most importantly, on a campus where antisemitism exists, I’ve never felt prouder to be Jewish—and I have King David to thank for that.”
Jessica reflected on what King David has given her children: “By choosing King David, you’re giving your kids the opportunity to grow into strong young Jewish adults and, most importantly, mensches—a quality the world sorely needs. Our three kids have become deeply engaged with their community and the world around them. They’re proud to be Jewish, eager to engage with their heritage, and have learned to think critically, question, stand up for themselves, and interact meaningfully with a complex world.”

At King David, cultivating a strong Jewish identity is at the heart of what we do. Rabbi Berger shared insights on our Judaic Studies curriculum, underscoring how Jewish values permeate every aspect of our school experience.
Our faculty and staff believe in guiding students on a path toward becoming conscientious, empathetic, and adaptable leaders ready to inspire positive change. Every staff member was at the Open House to connect with families and answer their questions. This commitment is our calling and our joy, and we are proud to welcome prospective families to share in our vision. Thank you for joining us!

VOICE OF THE PEOPLE- EYLON LEVY
This week, students from Grades 10-12 had the privilege of hearing from Eylon Levy, British-Israeli and former Israeli government spokesman, as he shared invaluable insights into leadership, resilience, and the power of words on the global stage.
Eylon Levy is the co-founder of the Israeli Citizen Spokespersons' Office, serving as a key advocate for Israeli citizens. He previously held the position of Israeli Government Spokesperson and acted as the International Media Advisor to the President of Israel. Additionally, he hosts the State of a Nation Podcast.
Thank you to Jesse Primerano, Executive Director of Stand With Us Canada, for providing us with the opportunity to hear Eylon Levy speak and answer many student questions.
