REFLECTIONS ON A REMARKABLE FIRST TERM!

As we wrap up the first term of the year, we are filled with immense gratitude and pride for the journey we’ve embarked on together.

This year has marked an important milestone with the arrival of our new Head of School, Dr. Seth Goldsweig. Since stepping into his role, Seth has infused King David with fresh energy and thoughtful insights, embracing the vibrant spirit of our community. In the message below, he shares his reflections on his first few months in Vancouver:

"What a term it has been! I feel so fortunate to be at the helm of the greatest Jewish day school. The community has been incredibly welcoming and kind, and it is an honour to be part of King David High School.
When I look back at the year so far, I am filled with so much pride. Our students have spoken at Israel rallies, engaged in politics, volunteered at organizations around the city, led assemblies, performed songs in the community, competed at the highest levels in sports, learned so much in all of their classes . . . and the list goes on and on.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our students. Your dedication to learning and boundless enthusiasm have been a source of inspiration. Through your adaptability and perseverance, you have not only excelled academically but have also nurtured a spirit of collaboration, kindness, and Yiddishkeit that defines our school.
We are equally grateful to our families and supporters, whose unwavering commitment and generosity continue to be the foundation of our school’s strength.
I wish everyone a wonderful break and look forward to returning in January refreshed and energized for more learning!"
