In three performances on Wednesday and Thursday, the cast and crew of Clue took the stage captivating the audience with a thrilling mix of suspense, mystery, and comedy. Set during a dinner party at a secluded mansion, the play follows six guests, each harbouring secrets, who become prime suspects when their host is murdered. Led by the sharp-witted Wadsworth, chaos ensues as bodies pile up and secrets are exposed, leaving the audience trying to solve the mystery. The cast's performances were both witty and energized, with each actor bringing a unique flair to their character, from facial expressions to the quirky accent of the British butler. Meanwhile, the set crew brought the mansion to life with effective lighting and detailed costumes that perfectly highlighted each personality. After months of tireless rehearsals, Clue took to the stage, leaving everyone thoroughly entertained.

A DAY OF JOY AND CELEBRATION
This year Purim was celebrated on Friday, March 22nd. All students and staff were encouraged to dress up as their Literary Hero - there was great creativity to be spotted! The theme was decided between the Student Council and the Library prefects.
Thank you to Orly Naim and her capable group of students who again prepared a wonderful celebration by transforming the Atrium into a Carnival, then set up and ran fun and exciting activities. From Karaoke to Fishing for Donuts, Preparing Mishloach Manot to Ring Toss, everyone was busy and laughter was heard throughout the building.
A special thank you to our PAC parents who once again served a delicious lunch! We appreciate the dairy meal and full bellies!

PURIM MESSAGE FROM RABBI BERGER
One of the main mitzvot of Purim is mishloach manot, which is the customary practice of giving gifts of food to friends and family. While it is nice to give (and receive) gifts, this seems like a generic nice-thing-to-do mitzvah all year round. How and why is this connected to Purim?
Let's start with the language in the Megillah “mishloach manot ish l’rei’hu”. Mishloach manot sort of had three pieces to it. “Manot”, portions of food, “ish”, one man or one person, “l'rei'eihu”, his friend.
In the Megillah, the word rei'ah appears and refers to Esther. The word, manot also appears in the story and guess who gets the manot, these portions of food? It's actually Esther. And the original sender of these manot is Mordechai who is introduced in the Megillah as an “Ish.” So we end up that the mitzvah of “mishloach manot ish l’rei’hu” really originated from Mordechai sending food portions to Esther.

GLOBAL HOUR OF JEWISH UNITY
King David's Thursday morning, Minyan and Munch was filled with students and staff as we all participated in the global hour of unity and prayer organized by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum at the Western Wall. Hearing from the hostages' families and reciting Shema in unison created a united moment of prayer and solidarity with millions of Jews from around the world.
NEW PERSPECTIVES ON CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
In our Law 12 class, we had the opportunity to hear from a guest speaker, Gordon Brandt. Gordon is a partner at the law firm Lawson Lundell, and practices general, civil and commercial litigation. It was exciting to hear about Gordon's background, growing up in Victoria BC, and how he got to where he is today, working full-time in Vancouver. Growing up in a family with no lawyers, law was new and unfamiliar, but he decided to go into the law field anyway. He completed his undergraduate degree at UBC and then went to Law school in Victoria where he later interned with the Office of the Prosecutor at a Hague-based international criminal tribunal. Learning about his busy 9-6 work days and how he takes on up to 35 clients at once, Gordon gave us a new perspective on career opportunities. Thank you!
