PROJECT NEWS
Landau Building Company
completed a full renovation of the existing MRI #2 unit at UPMC Shadyside, including renovations to the adjacent control room, MRI equipment rooms, and waiting area in the adjacent hallway. The unit supervisor appreciated the team's enforcement of ICRA and hospital safety policies. For example, all individuals on the jobsite had to watch an MRI safety video. Unforeseen challenges arose during construction, such as unexpected thickness in the floor slab and concrete walls and mechanical issues under the control room floor. Landau worked hard to keep the job running smoothly despite these unforeseen circumstances, and the hospital and staff are extremely pleased with their renovated space.

HAPPY RETIREMENT
KEITH KALMBACH!
Congratulations to longtime superintendent Keith Kalmbach on his retirement! After 40 years in the industry and 17 year at Landau, Keith officially retired August 31st. Keith worked on some of Landau's major projects, including the UPMC Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers, AHN Jefferson Hospital Women's Health and Oncology Center, UPMC Magee ISD, and Heritage Valley Beaver Radiology. He was requested often by our clients, especially in the healthcare field. He was
particularly known for his outstanding ICRA practices and efficiency on the jobsite.
Keith will be missed at Landau, but we wish him nothing but the best. We thank him for his years of hard work and contribution to Landau's success. He truly made an impact at our company and on our clients, which is a pretty good way to retire! Congratulations, Keith, and enjoy!
