Lee Clerk now offers virtual lines for court services

Last week, we launched  ClerkExpress, a new service that allows you to check-in via text message to avoid waiting in the lobbies for court services.  While we encourage you to use our online services, if that is not possible, ClerkExpress is a new option to avoid long lines in the lobby.

Before you leave your house, text "getinline" to 866-915-9224. A text message will be returned back asking you to choose your location and service. Then, text back when you arrive at the Clerk's office. When we are ready to serve you, another text message will be sent to your phone asking you to proceed to the lobby.

I hope this new service provides you with added convenience and safety during your next visit to the Clerk's office.  Currently, this service is only available for court services.

Feature Story: Joanne Iwinski Miller is Lee County's unofficial historian

Deputy Clerk Joanne Iwinski Miller, a 39-year veteran of the Clerk's office, was recently featured in the News-Press. The story shares Joanne's passion for Lee County's history. In 2015, Joanne created the Historical Document Library at the Clerk's office to help the public easily access decades-old plats and records.

Next year, Joanne is set to retire after 40 years of memorable service to the citizens of Lee County. We will undoubtedly miss her, and we are endlessly grateful for the knowledge she has bestowed on us over the years.
