In April we observe Stress Awareness Month.

We all know by now that our collective mental health has taken a hit in the past year. With so many external sources for peace and respite no longer available due to the pandemic, we’ve had to discover new ways to build our inner strength, steadiness, and resolve. Long-term stress and anxiety can lead to physical health issues like headaches, digestive problems, and high blood pressure to name a few. This is why it’s SO important to incorporate healthy ways to manage stress into your daily routine.  

Journaling, making a gratitude list, meditating, or calling a friend to catch up are great ways to channel positive energy into your life. Getting plenty of rest and exercising are also helpful ways to manage daily stress. And as this beautiful spring weather moves in, we suggest taking advantage of the opportunity to soak in some natural Vitamin D and refresh your mind by taking walks and exercising outdoors. When it comes to healthy lifestyle habits, these seemingly small, stress-reducing activities can make a world of difference.
