Kids Camp II Report:
By Tim and Deb Grebe, Directors of Kids Camp II
As we reflect on the week of camp many thoughts are rolling through our minds: God's provision of good weather, safety in events, no serious illness; and, most of all, His blessing of seeing souls changed for eternity. We had 9 campers profess salvation and a number of others received reassurance of their faith. "Praise God!"
One particular camper story was extraordinary. The first morning of camp I was praying through the day's events and lamenting the fact that a camper went home on the first night. I found myself praying for my desires instead of spiritual responses. In mid stream, as they say, I re-focused on praying that God's will for the campers would be our focus and campers lives would be changed. Fifteen minutes later, as we gathered for breakfast, two dorm leaders (along with an excited camper) approached me to share the news that he had accepted Jesus as his Savior!
Never in our many years of directing had I experienced a camper response like that on the first night!
