Director's Message
Hi LBCS Families,

I know we are all a bit overwhelmed at the state of affairs right now.
If I could lead us in a collective deep breath, I would. I would because it is important for our kids. The unknowns are too much to count right now, from the smaller things like practices and games being canceled to the much larger concerns of possible harm to the older members of our families. Our kids feel it all. So, we will control what we can control. Or, as Ana said in Frozen II, we'll do "the next right thing." We will pay attention to the information we are getting from the Superintendent, and we'll follow the instructions handed down. We will take all advice on increased hand washing, and we will keep our kids home when they're sick. It is what we can do. We can also keep playing catch with our kids outside, or taking a walk around the block as a family. Let's use the cancelations around us to spend more time together.

Please see the most recent notices attached in the newsletter.

Have a wonderful Friday, and a great weekend.

Mother's Day Store
We are taking donations for our annual Mother's Day store!  In addition to treasure, we would also love new or gently used gift wrapping supplies - specifically, gift bags, tissue, and small gift boxes.  All money collected from the  Mother 's  Day  store  is donated to Acres of Hope, a local center serving homeless women with children.  Please bring all donations to the office or to Debbie Van Breemen's classroom.

Thank you for your support!

Nurse's Corner
Allergy season is here!! The sun is shining! With this season comes dry skin and lips, sneezing, and runny noses. Remember to put the following items in your kids backpack to help with these symptoms:
  • Lotion
  • Chapstick
  • Kleenex
  • Sunscreen
  • Water Bottles
If your child requires allergy medication (including over-the-counter meds), don't forget to grab a Medication Form either online or in the office. Please have the doctor fill out and sign the form with parent/guardian signature. Then return form along with medication to the nurse's office at your child's school. This will help ease your child's symptoms and get them through the day J
